Who has seen a shadow separated from the light?

The great 13th century poet Rumi asked this clever question back then which somehow seems so befitting for this picture and the thoughts that were on my mind as I spotted these beauties. cover I often ‘feel’ poetry and compositions for my photos - sometimes at the same time, sometimes one after the other… I never can be quite sure of the order as I’m generally ‘in another world’ when I’m taking pictures. As ‘something’ was ‘pulling me’ towards these flowers, my mind was just doing a bit of slightly sad musing over connections, friendships, lovers lost, but then I was ‘distracted’ by their beauty and now I can see why : there is no point in being sad as there’s always a perfect balance of light and dark. Sometimes we only ‘see’ those little pearls of wisdom when they’re magnified by something - in my case by the magic of poetry and photography that often connect so mysteriously and beautifully. Lucky me to have such wonderful ‘tools’ at my disposal!
