Making yourself heard

Charlotte Day, or Charli as she is known to many, was born in Berkshire, England. Bored of her corporate career as digital content manager, she took some time out back in 2005 to go travelling, spend time in Greece and in the north of Italy. After this she “visited” Cyprus not intending to stay… that was ten years ago.

Charli loves the simple pleasures in life — a walk on the beach, dinner with friends and meeting interesting strangers… usually on the bus! And she loves Cyprus, “I love living by the sea! It’s such an inspiration for my writing.

“Watermelon and halloumi, the lifestyle, lazy frappes by the sea, the friendly culture which revolves around eating – just perfect!” she laughs.

Creating Tweet Cyprus
The social media buff also likes that there are so many talented people in Cyprus… artists, singers, cookery experts, photographers… This is why she set up Tweet Cyprus on Twitter and Facebook to showcase the best that the island has to offer.

Eateries, events, people, sights, articles from the national and international media… “It’s a great way to put my skills to good use and give something back to the community. I love to shine the spotlight on the beautiful things rather than the negatives,” the writer explains.

Charli Says
Her website of the same name is primarily where her articles are showcased in addition to her personal passion… poetry.

She enjoys sharing her writing tips and offering social media advice to followers of all abilities written in “easy to understand” articles. Another free service she is happy to share in addition to Tweet Cyprus, which she plans to continue while taking her writing to the next level.

Details can be found at, her Tweet Cyprus Facebook page and, of course, via Twitter.
