Nikkei cuisine - the latest thing - also in Limassol

The most recent addition to the list of original eateries is Coya Limassol, a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant located on the Limassol seafront at the former venue of Cafe Pascucci. The all-day bar/restaurant opened its doors on July 10th to a crowd of curious Limassol diners and night owls.

Coya will be serving Nikkei cuisine, a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese food. Peru has a culinary tradition marked by various cultural influences, one of them being Japan. Nikkei cuisine has become the latest gastronomic sensation to hit Europe’s culinary capitals and is the first of its kind in Cyprus.

The man to bring this distinctive concept to the island is chef, gastronomy consultant and general manager Nicos Constantinou. The idea is to treat Limassolians to a new dining experience which includes dishes such as black cod, duck with maracuja sauce and of course a variety of Nikkei sushi.

Coya will be open late, featuring a resident DJ, an extensive cocktail list, Sunday breakfast and a lunch buffet. “We look forward to providing new culinary temptations that are sure to surprise” says chef Constantinou.
